Thirteen vulnerable families in Gahini Sector, Juru Cell in Kayonza District were enrolled in Rwanda’s community-based health insurance program, Mutuelle de Santé, through an initiative by Revive Youth Rwanda on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Local leaders in Gahini Cell identified the beneficiaries and handled distribution to ensure support went to households already flagged as unable to afford coverage.
Revive Youth Rwanda’s founder and executive director, Freddy Musoni, said the effort reflects growing expectations for community-driven solutions. “Finding solutions from within is not just a slogan. It means taking responsibility where you live,” he said.
Influencer and musician Diez Dolla joined the activity to raise visibility. His participation is part of the organization’s push to involve young public figures in practical initiatives rather than online messaging alone.
One of the recipients described the support simply. “When you are sick and you can’t pay, you feel forgotten. Now at least we can go to the hospital.”
Revive Youth Rwanda says it will continue focusing on families who fall through the cracks of basic services. The group has not yet disclosed its next target area or timeline for similar interventions.
