Alik Bulan continues to extend helping-hand to less fortunate

Through his family foundation, Rwandan musician Ishimwe Manoa, better known in the music business as Alik Bulan, has carried on with his charitable endeavors.

Alik Bulan established the Manoa Family Foundation, a diaspora-based organization, to provide active support to the Nufashwa Yafasha Nursery School situated in Ngarama Sector, Gatsibo District, Eastern Province, Rwanda.

This is Alik Bulan’s third partnership with the Nufasha Yafasha Organization, working through two non-profit organizations to assist the school’s underprivileged student body.

Alik Bulan supplied food to the school to support its feeding program for children from low-income families at the beginning of the school year. Combating obesity and malnutrition is the goal of this program.

In order to support the kids’ education, he also gave school supplies; his total donation was worth $1,200 (more than 1.5 million Rwandan Francs).

Isango Star journalist Jean Paul Bujyacyera, also referred to as Guterman Guter, founded the Nufashwa Yafasha Nursery School. For underprivileged kids, the school offers education, healthcare, social services, and entertainment.

The group also supports families by offering special plans to parents, like funding their kids’ education, small business startups, or animal care.

Alik Bulan discussed his motivation for giving back in an exclusive interview with INTO RWANDA.

He did this by thinking back on his own challenging experiences, which included being a refugee. He believes it is his duty to assist those in need.

The Nufashwa Yafasha Organization’s founder, Guterman Guter, expressed gratitude to the Manoa Family Foundation and Alik Bulan for their ongoing support.

He urged other performers and famous people to help the less fortunate and use their power for good.

Accompanying Alik Bulan were a number of close friends and associates, including fellow musician VEX Prince, with whom he had previously worked on the song “Chanella.”

Journalists Yvan Hertier of BTN TV and Yvan Kubwimana, who covers Alik Bulan’s activities in the Great Lakes region for Isango Star’s Sunday Night Show, were also in his group.

As Alik Bulan was getting ready to release his new song, “Bendi,” featuring VEX Prince, he received this support.

The Manoa Family Foundation expands its humanitarian endeavors by operating in nearby nations like Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
