USA: Former senator accuses Biden of sexually assaulting her

A former Senate member claims that then-Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her while she was working as an aide on his team in 1993.

Tucker Carlson, an American journalist, has published an interview with Tara Reade, a former US Senate aide who rose to prominence after accusing Joe Biden of sexual assault in 1993. The interview was conducted in Moscow, where Reade relocated last year due to concerns about her safety in the US.

In her interview with Carlson, Reade described how the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI “harassed” her, even claiming that she had received “death threats.”

According to the former aide, US authorities made a case against her after accessing her email and social media accounts. She added that, while the FBI and DOJ were close to indicting her, they would not reveal what her alleged crime was because the case was “sealed.”

Reade suggested that the real reason for these legal proceedings was her refusal to “shut up” about Biden’s alleged sexual assault. She claimed that the mainstream US media had lapped up “innuendos” about her, with the majority of outlets serving as “proxies for the US government.”

Reade went on to say that, in addition to her sexual harassment allegations against Biden, her recent criticism of the state of the US economy and the “proxy war against Russia via Ukraine” had prompted US authorities to label her a “traitor.”

She said this was especially “heartbreaking” because she had spent years working for the Democratic Party and “believed in it wholeheartedly.” “I’ve never committed a crime. I’m not a traitor. I’m not a spy,” she told Tucker

In 2020, during the height of the US presidential election campaign, Reade publicly accused Biden of subjecting her to a “violent sexual assault” on Capitol grounds in 1993. She was on the Democratic senator’s staff at the time. In a 2021 interview, President Biden stated that the incident “never happened.”
